住房 Insecurity Emergency Aid

的 cost of a four-year college education has increased significantly and with inflation college students can find themselves struggling to remain enrolled in college.  的 costs of tuition, textbooks, transportation, housing, and food in Illinois can result in a student experiencing crisis at any point in their college career.  For some students, pursuing a college degree can mean going hungry or living in a vehicle.  College hunger, homelessness, and any deficit in a basic human need requires support.

Illinois's Public Act 102-0083 requires Illinois institutions of Higher 教育 to identify a  HOUSE  (住房 and Opportunities that are Useful for Students' Excellence) liaison to provide support and resources to students experiencing homelessness.  机构 that have housing are also required to prioritize placement for homeless students, including during school breaks, if on-campus housing remains open.

CSU's House Liaison is the Director of the Counseling Center and their responsibility is to adhere to the Illinois Public Act 102-0083.  的 Illinois Board of Higher 教育 has provided grant funds through the End Student 住房 Insecurity (ESHI).  基社盟已经 established the 住房 Insecurity Emergency Request Fund intended to assist students who face unexpected costs that impede their ability to continue and succeed academically and personally while enrolled at Chicago State University. If you are experiencing difficulty paying for time-sensitive expenses, including housing/rent, food, transportation, utilities, medical care, childcare, books, school fees, or other basic necessities, please fill out the following form, and include a brief summary of your circumstances.
